National Trails Day: Westchester County Hike

Come out and join us on a Guided Hike on National Trails Day 2023!

This hike will be guided by NYNJTC Volunteer Trail Maintainer Terence Ducey.
 

DESCRIPTION:
A short, informal talk will introduce you to the history of this park to be followed by a 45 minute walk through recently marked trails. Used as a camp for the French troops on their way to Yorktown, VA in 1781 and on their way back in 1782. Later part of the Baldwin estate, estate of Otis Wiese, editor of McCalls, and later purchased by Donald Trump with the intention of developing a golf course.

HOW TO GET THERE:
Take Taconic State Parkway to the Baldwin Road exit and turn east. Turn right onto  Old Baldwin Road, and drive to the entrance at the end of the road.

DISTANCE: 1.5 miles
DIFFICULTY: Easy/Moderate
TIME: 1.5hrs
